Sprinkles chocolate buttons
These are so easy to make that I'm hesitant to even call this a recipe! They would make a lovely Christmas gift or could be used as a cake decoration :)
INGREDIENTS
150g chocolate of your choice (I used milk chocolate)
Sprinkles
DIRECTIONS
- melt the chocolate using either microwave or on the stove. To melt it in the microwave: break up the chocolate into a bowl and microwave on high power for one minute then stir. Return to microwave for another minute.
To melt it on the stove: Place a small saucepan with water over a medium heat and cover with a bowl, making sure that it doesn't touch the water. Place the chocolate in the bowl and simmer for a few minutes until melted.
- transfer the melted chocolate to a piping bag and cut off the tip to make the hole as small as possible
- to make the buttons uniform, you can use a macaron sheet, but they will turn out just as pretty if you simply squeeze out the chocolate on some baking parchment, forming little circles.
- top with sprinkles!
Happy Christmas :)
