Red plum granita


Simple and refreshing dessert created to use up overripe plums... You can use any ripe fruit you like. Tastes delicious at any time of the year :)

ingredients

1 kg ripe red plums

100 g golden syrup

paper cups to serve (similar here)

instructions

1. Halve and stone the plums.

2. Place in a medium bowl and add the golden syrup.

3. Blend until they turn to liquid.

3. Push through a sieve to get rid of the skins.

4. Place in a container and freeze.

5. Stir the granita every 30 minutes for the first 2 hours of freezing.

6. Take out to room temperature a few minutes before serving and mash with fork.
